Tbh Gaban is probably the only cool character to be associated to Sanji. Mr.2 had that friendship thing but look at Jabra and Queen and compare them to Kaku and King.

Yeah, Gaban's role in the story feels a bit redundant when Rayleigh showed up 100s of chapters ago. Oda kind of knew this and has kept him more so in the background of the arc as opposed to being the actual star like Rayleigh was in Sabody. He's still pretty cool though
