Any casual anime fan who goes to see the movie is gonna wonder why the fuck they wasted 15 minutes at the start with Loki as the MC, just to ignore him for the rest of the movie

I'm not talking about Loki, but the whole storyline surrounding Hachinosu, the battle at sea between Garp, Roger, and the Kuja pirates, Shakky's arrival on the island, and the bar where all the pirates cross paths. Please go back and re-read the Rocks flashback.

As said, not that necessary. As done in the past with Z for example, the preparatory chapters will be in the anime.

And the character Gill Bastard fighting using his Devil Fruit powers?

And Kyo and Barbell fighting?

I hope they add plenty of details, like better executed scenes at Shakky's bar,

or a detailed look at each character's escape from God Valley, such as Whitebeard fleeing by boat with Polo Gram.

Even 12 chapters are too few for a movie.A movie is bascially 5 to 6 anime episodes. Stretching 1 chapter to 10 minutes of the movie is bad. Movies tend to be fast paced,not draggin in the slightest.
They need to cover the whole Flashback from 1152 to 1170-71

But everything involving the Rocks Pirates, Hachinosu, the Kuja crew and Shakky, Garp, Garling, and the Roger Pirates, I’m convinced that part of the backstory will be in the movie.

Just imagine seeing a young Xebec sitting at the table across from Harald, seeing him fight in a Davy Back Fight back in the day, and seeing him destroy the eyes of Hachinosu Island with his entire pirate crew striking a pose.

Imagine the arguments breaking out among all those pirates in Shakky’s bar.

Imagine seeing all of that on the big screen at the cinema.

I like It, but I don't think they can start that much in the past. There Is still the anime to consider.

I think the anime will stop with Harald and Xebec talking on the ship, because that Is a thing we have to see in the anime since It's crucial for Harald. Then the film will start.

It may and will have some backtracking, but more or less that will be the go I think.
