Ds2 bosses are dynamic and fun, not necessarily challenging or well crafted like ds3 (still better than ds1). But who cares, you only spend 5% of in game time fighting bosses, it’s the areas that matter in the big picture, and ds2 areas are just levels above any other game, with its most unique element being how accessible all these areas are early on and how it all connects to Majula @TheKnightOfTheSea @EmperorKinyagi @MonochromeYoru

DS2 bosses are not better than DS1 lol.

But yeah DS2 base game is solid overall with some good areas and some low quality ones. A lot of the best parts of DS2 are the secrets, the secret NPC interactions, Dark Lurker quest, even finding the hidden keys to the DLC, etc.

Not sure if they're better on average, but DS2 has at least two bosses that are in my opinion better than any DS1 boss.

I hate Gwyn so much.
Tried a DS1 deathless speedrun multiple times, everything goes great until I get to Gwyn, I suck at parrying so he just ends my run or kills my time.
