Let's be honest. Kizaru may have won against EH Luffy, but he was pretty pathetic in that arc. Nothing he did made me think, "Wow, the Admirals sure are a cool bunch." So, TAC's curse did affect him.

Like I stan the man but Oda really screwed us with that first fight, we got one measly clash or two between him and G4/G5

Meanwhile Kuzan gets a sick clash against Garp and we get to see how he trained his punching skills.

Kizaru we get some throwaway info on his defence. But we don't see how he trained, what his version of Ashigara Dokkoi is etc.

And in his fight with Luffy he never got any good moments of showcasing attacks or anything, so Oda definitely did him dirty there.

This is becoming a pattern. Oda can’t think of making Zoro too interesting so he goes backwards

in Wano, Zoro supposedly has to learn how to “go all out”… in order to beat king… AS IF THIS WAS PROBLEM ZORO EVER HAD

Now this, Oda wants to justify why this supposed to be a power up fight with Sommers so he introduces the idea that actually Zoro doesn’t know how to use the AdvCoC we have seen him constantly using
