Exactly. Law witnessed Luffys greatness vs Doflamingo & Kaido & Big Mom. Law who certainly is no slouch himself even saw what Zoro could do against the yonko at the roof top and was very surprised and impressed.

However I think Law could steal the HKs hearts like he did vs Smoker. Simply has the DF for it and unlike BB the HKs don't have the haki to withstand it.

From there the question is if their bodies collapse like Smokers or if they still function without a heart? If they still function he would need to flee the scene and have Luffy or Zoro to destroy them for him, like horcruxes in Harry Potter.

Not so sure. Loki has gone way beyond my expectations, absolute beast. Its just that I expect Shamrock to be in a trio with Shanks and Mihawk similar to Ace, Sabo and Luffy or Roger, Garp and Xebec.

Thus Shamrock himself needs to be extremely powerful.

I don't know about that. If Hebi Sasuke can partially outrun Amaterasu for a little while, then 6th/7th Gate Gai should absolutely be able to avoid getting tagged for long enough to launch a counter.
