Whole point of Omen was to save Sanji and Zoro's blushes tbh.
Oda had to raise the level of the Holy Knights in order to justify the matchup and once he estabslished that, he didn't bother to follow up on it. It's Oda tactics 101, "writing for the sake of it", "gas for the sake of grabbing attention with little to no reward".
But I guess the moral of the story has always been that Sanji are Zoro are built different from the likes of the Holy Knights.
They have quirks that make them had to put down but when up agaisnt characters of wings calibre they are weak sauce.
Rather than Omen per say which has arguably made the Holy Knights not one shot material for the wings and is arguably putting in a bit of work with the Zaza plot line, I'm pretty dissapointed in the way Oda has handled the Ancient Weapons plot line. Like why even introduce it at this point. It's quite literally had zero narrative impact since it's introduction
