Am I really the only one here seeing how conservatism pushes everyone to completely disregard their own experience of media?

Just watched lanterns, I see the same arguments as with Star Wars or One Piece, this is starting to scare me a little.

Kind of disheartening when you read nothing about the show and you get out crying trying to see if people had the same experience and instead, everyone is talking like One Piece powerscaler and how the show ruined their favorite character or how was endled the finale.

Not easy to accept, I know, I had a hard time too. But it's the truth and when you look at it, the fact are clear, the growth is clear, the system is clear.

While China has a lot of other problems about racism or sexism, they are headed the right way in the direction of anticapitalism, and you just have to observe the result.. they kinda speak for themselves.

Cuba could go the same way if the US were not trying to exterminate them, the Soviet Union was too young to quick to succeed, there had so much other problems and I ahve sadly not enough data on North Korea to talk outside of the obvious authoritative shell.
Dude China is straight forward capitalist while still having the state operating on it inclusive allowing slavery. WTF are you talking?

State communism. A communist based regime where capitalism takes a big role but where the state organizes the ressources. Still not a real communist country, but the closest you will get in the current world.

And I wouldn't call it a failure at the moment lol

That no country is as close to achieving real communism as them. Even tho they are still pretty far from it.
Explain more and maybe drop some sources too. "China isn't communist but the closest to a commie country" what's even the point of this statement ? Dictatorship of the proletariat isn't even there. On what theory are you basing your assumptions ?

It's all about the structure of the state and the praxis that goes with it. The state functions as a ressource allocator. It allocate certains ressources to key sector and redicted those which are not efficient, then it also holds a grip on business to avoid a contamination of problems. You could compare that to a situation in France where most of the things are nationalized and things that are not still have to respound to the state in order to get ressources and fundings.

China pretty much uses capitalism instead of capitalism using them. Capitalism is still present, exploitation is still present, but it is kept on a much stronger leach that in the west. This is the beginning of a transionnal society toward communism.

This is why China is the closest to communism. They have the ressources and potential to slowly extract themselves from capitalism while staying a strong force. No country currently have that potential and power to hold to such a system without being broken appart by capitalism and the imperialism of the west. This is important because the more country adopt that praxis, the more there will be a chance for an internationalism and a real communist society to appear.

China is trying slowly what URSS tried in a short period of time. At least that is my current understanding of the situation.. My guess is that it will take a few decade for the country to shift toward a full appropriation of the industry... well then it's the unknown.
