The scale wouldn't work, imo.
If the characters can destroy entire islands with a single attack, then the AWs need to be able to level a continent just to be impressive.
If the characters go continent-wide, the AWs need to go planet-wide.
And 3 terraforming AWs are just overkill at that point.
