Have you skipped this very chapter? 1196? That's what self-love means: to not sacrifice yourself for others needlessly. There was no actual need to get his leg cracked against Vergo. It wasn't a life-or-death situation for the crew. From here on, if Oda is consistent, Sanji shouldn't pull shit like the cracked leg against Vergo ever again.
