1) The revos have already stated their target are the Tenryuubitos and the WG, not the Marines, they have nothing against the Marines, Dragon is not interested in bringing down the Marines, he targets the man that stands at the top of the world : Im.

2) Im will never compare to Blackbeard as a FV candidate, not only just because he's been introduced far too late and will probably not meet Luffy until the very very end of the story but also : This is a manga about PIRATES, Luffy's dream is to become PIRATEKING, not to bring down the WG.
Will Luffy still play a role in the war against Im? Sure he will. But that is NOT part of his dream, Blackbeard is the man that stands between Lufy and his dream, Blackbeard is Pirateking material too, he will be Luffy's greatest rival and foe, his ultimate nemesis.
Also Im going down AFTER Blackbeard doesn't mean that makes him the FV, chronogical order doesn't mean shit, BB can go down earlier and still be THE most relevant villain in OP.

3) Akainu is a much better candidate for Luffy to fight in that final war, Akainu is the man that killed Ace in front of Luffy, that gave him his scar, that mutilated Jinbe, he is to this day the only man Luffy has shown hatred for just at the mention of his name.
For those who think Sabo will fight Akainu, that's not likely at all, Sabo was not at Marineford, Sabo didn't go through any trauma.
If Law didn't get to beat up Doffy who he had far more personal business with and history than Luffy, then why would Sabo get to beat the ONE GUY that Luffy really wants to take revenge on? This also apply to Wiper or Paulie who didn't get to beat up Enel/Lucci.

4) Dragon is the man of CHANGE, not Luffy. Luffy will be Pirateking, greatest pirate ever and blablabla BUT as I said before, his dream isn't to bring down the WG and to change the world, that's Dragon's dream. Dragon is the symbol of revolution, Dragon is the leader of the RA.
Dragon and the RA will bring down the WG with the help of the Pirateking, NOT the other way around, this is the RA's fight first and foremost.

It makes no sense for Oda to make the Ds the natural enemy of the CDs, and not make Luffy, the most D of the Ds and the one who aspires to be the most free man in the world, not fight Imu, the most CD of the CDs and the man who wants to control the world.

Also, why did Roger have to wait for the new PK to arise to fulfill whatever prophecy he learned about? Did Roger have to wait just so that the new PK could beat up the Fleet Admiral (who is easily replaceable) instead of overthrowing the WG?

Luffy doesn't give a fuck about past history, even less about stuff that doesn't concern his friends. He watched a slave get blown off trying to free himself at Sabaody and he did nothing to help him out.

Roger was waiting for someone to let out the truth of what he's found on Laugh Tale, that truth will be the catalyser for the war to come, Luffy will still play his role against the WG, he just won't be the one to take care of Imu, that's Dragon's job.

Luffy is literally Joyboy 3.0 lol. I don't see the point in having Luffy get one-upped by Dragon in the Final War.

Do you really think it’s a coincidence that the first time Sabo was ever mentioned was right after Akainu fisted Ace? Also, WB gave a speech upon his death that someone would come along to carry out Ace’s will, and it was made clear in Dressrosa that Sabo was the one who has inherited Ace’s will. It was literally Ace’s death which woke Sabo up from his amnesia, and Sabo has made it very clear that he deeply regrets not being there for Ace. What better way would there be to make it up for him than to avenge him by killing him with the Mera Mera no Mi? Sabo has a much, much better claim to be the one to beat Akainu than Luffy has. At best, Luffy is gonna give Akainu the same treatment that Yamato gave Ulti and then pass him on to Akainu.

Akainu has no significance to the greater story of One Piece. He’s got no connection to the Void Century. He’s just some guy who hates criminals. He’s just the Fleet Admiral, who can be easily replaced by 3 other guys. He’s got good Logia DF, but his DF is nothing FV worthy (unlike the Darkness DF). Akainu would be the most underwhelming final villain in Shonen history.

Akainu is completely irrelevant to the greater story of OP. Were Roger and Joyboy waiting for someone to come along to beat Akainu? Making Luffy fight Akainu at EoS instead of Imu would be like Kishimoto making Naruto fight Spiral Zetsu instead of Madara/Kaguya
