Well yeah, as that's typically how all of Zoro's battles end. But I don't think that skirmish between the two is indicative of either of their full potential. This is the first time Zoro has ever been into a fight, where he himself passed out after defeating his opponent. It's never happened before. It goes to show that Killer should not be taken lightly, as he managed to accomplish something no other opponent of Zoro's before him could.

It exactly means that. There is no other interpretation that makes sense. All commanders blocked his path, not only Marco or Vista.
Not a single other marine was near by for a whole chapter, so what were the others doing while Marco fought Akainu 1v1.

It'd be so much simpler if they just focused on giving proper scans rather than terrible photos with watermarks + their own biased interpretation. They can leave the translation job to translators.

There are so many ways of interpreting that dialog.
And you took the most convenient one for your wank. And you are even saying blocking = fightning with him. Like, literally you only need to stand in front of someone to block him, xdd.

When we have proof with images.
-Marco was the one who was about to attack.
-After Curiel's defeat, only a commander was in that area, cause Luffy already escaped and there was no need of them blocking Akainu.

The rest is pure headcanon and imagination.
