Speculations Do you think Kaido will die at the end of this arc?

#22
Personally I won’t be satisfied with Kaido just being defeated like previous villians, I want him dead for what he’s done to Wano.

The only way for justice to be delivered for Wano and the samurais who have suffered for 20+ years is to take Kaido’s head. No WG showing up to imprison him, no bullshit alliance with Luffy in the final war like it has been with previous villians, he doesn’t deserve anything less than his head cut off imo.

What do you guys think?

While all the cues point towards his death at the end of this arc, it would feel a bit underwhelming that the biggest antagonist of the new world so far who brought up the plot of ancient weapons back into the story or the idea of participating in the biggest world war won't be involved in both of them in any way.

A question, what is the point of Oda painstakingly placing Caribou in Wano through a cover story? It's obvious that his role should be to spill out the info. about Poseidon in this arc to BM/Kaido and nothing will come of it since Kaido is eventually going to die in this arc?

@Garp the Fist Excellent analysis and I agree with everything you said, what is your opinion on these points?

No, Zoro has no place in this, he is fodder, don’t lose your head just because he got some hype last chapter.

What is ZKK?
I'm not talking about power levels. I'm talking about his relationship to the people of wano, connections to ryuma, and shimostsuki heritage.
Also if were talking power level Midd has done absolutely nothing when it comes to feats to prove he's over Zoro.

ZKK means Zoro Killing Kaido

I feel like it's a big possibility since not many fans expected Zoro to outright state he wanted to behead Kaido since more people expected him to want to defeat but not kill the opponent, unless that was Orochi.

So if Zoro wants to kill him he may very well do it honestly... unless Luffy will stop him. On top of it, Blackbeard may always show up. Or someone else.

That “fodder” is very much relevant to this discussion. Not only has expressed desire to kill Kaido, but he also wields the sword once owned by the man who almost killed Kaido, is the only one since that man to tame it as well, and the man he wishes to avenge spoke of the necessity to kill Kaido.

Yes.

He's too problematic of a character to be kept alive, if he survives he will simply try to cause another ruckus again, he's not the Crocodile/Doffy type where even if they're freed, they don't have the singular individual power to really threaten Luffy anymore.

He's already been beaten up,captured and sentenced to death, what's the point of beating him for good if he doesn't die this time?

I think Kaido/BM going for an ancient weapon will be mostly for exposition purposes. We’ll find out Rocks wanted to do the same, we might find out what Uranus is, then at the end of the arc we’ll find out Blackbeard (Rocks 2.0) has beaten everyone to the punch and has one already- what he was going after in the Act 2 interlude.

Caribou is more likely to tie in to Blackbeard, or if Oda really wants to give us a twist, Shanks. Caribou said on FI that there was someone big he was going to tell who Poseidon was. It’s not Kaido, since he stuck Caribou in jail, it’s not BM, or Caribou would have commented on her in Udon, it’s not likely to be the World Gov, since Caribou doesn’t seem the type to work with them.

That leaves Shanks and Blackbeard, and Blackbeard really seems more Caribou’s type of guy. We know that Blackbeard is a historian, so it would make sense that he’d be interested in Ancient Weapons.

There is also a possibility that Oda has dropped the Caribou/Poseidon plotline and that’s why he gave him a bit of redemption in his cover story, and why he’s been nearly irrelevant in Wano. I wouldn’t be much surprised by that tbh.

Luffy amd friends as per usual will not kill the villain but there is quite a big chance, for me, Oda makes BB jump in amd steal Kaido's df and that means Kaido has to be dead in order for it to work. Also Kaido is pretty much mid-old gen so it could also be he is uprooted to give more light to new arising yonkos (Kidd Law).

Doesn’t matter if he has his sword, there is a world of difference between him and Oden. He might do some damage but he’s not the one who will kill Kaido, that goes to either Kid, the Scabbards or Blackbeard if he shows up.

The Scabbards tried and failed.
Kid isn't that much stronger than Zoro, so I don't see how Kid can kill Kaido and Zoro can't.
Teach arriving on Wano is a massive stretch based on the idea that Kaido has a devil fruit, which is far from confirmed.
Zoro inheriting the sword does matter because he's inherited Oden's will. And one of his desires was to kill Kaido. Intent Zoro now shares.

do blokes think kaido can be kept in impel down?
might need to hop on the fact that he has been defeated and restained but managed to get away everytime.
do they think after kaido loses, he will just stop being a pirate and let luffy and his goons go back to doing whatever the fuck they want. That he wont come back to put wano in the same delirious state he has it in right now. might need to hop on the fact that he has been defeated several times and came back every time.

point is kaido like shiki is too strong to be held in a prison
and is also too ambitious to simply be done with after a defeat.

here's to those blokes who think he becomes luffy's ally for the final war lmao
. not that I am against it tho.

he has to die logically else you might have to explain to me what stops him for coming after wano again or after the folks who brought him down.
