Owl 1st fight is my favorite up to this point in story, you telling me there is a better encounter? I will pause fountainhead and search for the other one...

@MonochromeYoru I assume you have to trigger something with the sculpture? Because I vividly remember getting spoiled by someone fighting him in a burning area, so I went to Hirata where you first meet him yet nothing is there.

Ichimonji double and the skill that allows using arts mid-air made Owl and the monk significantly easier than they should, you get constant posture regen. Also getting a free deathblow on the Corrupt Monk from the tree branch jump kind of defeated the purpose of him having three deathblow bars...

@Elder Lee Hung Great Shinobi Owl I'm aware there is another harder Owl encounter but I have yet to find it.

@MonochromeYoru IIRC yes but there was no special dialogue? I do regret wasting several sake drinks on the hag when Isshin was just few meters away.

Damn, I found your post but it was actually a video of him folding the remembrance bosses (which is crazy) instead of lore. I just started watching lots of Shaded Castle and Messmer videos and just realized how goated Elemer is, truly the nemesis of the lands between.

@Elder Lee Hung I got folded by Lady Butterfly so hard on my first two tries that I wanted to change course to a different area, but I literally just learnt how to tell if the enemy defelcted your attack by the "ting, ting, tang" sound. With that in mind I folded her in just two more tries...

What made Sekiro stand out for me was how fast paced it is compared to ER/DS. The Ws you get are absolutely satisfying. I stopped at the horseman boss, picking up from there.
