I think its pretty clear that at times on the rooftop he was using Odens haki. Why does that matter? He’s still a haki monster who has advanced CoC and CoA.

First mate/Vice captain is an interchangeable term. First mates are the person second in command to the captain, i.e the VC. There isnt one, the Straw hats dont have a hierarchy after Luffy.

I cant believe that so many people dont understand that Zoro is not the Vice captain of the Straw hats. Eiichiro Oda has literally said it himself that after Luffy the Straw hats do not have a hierarchy system.

Zoro, who could do basically nothing to Kaido, and just took a significant amount of time to defeat Lucci, is not taking the man who actually defeated Kaido and clowned on Lucci to high diff. It is completely ridiculous to suggest that. Mid diff is being very generous right now.
