The recent reveal about the water levels strikes me as something that was planned very early on, with how Oda decided to construct the world. But in Chapter 115, Vivi describes Little Garden as an island trapped in time from the prehistoric era due to the nature of the Grand Line.
Retcon or do...
Feel like Oda is trying to portray Warcury (literally "Topman") >> Venusjuro/Mars (other rocky planets) >> Ju Peter/Saturn (gas giants)
Also Sanji + Oimo + Kaishi + Bonney being able to stall Venusjuro for a moment isn't a terrible look
The fact that pre-ts hakiless base luffy beat him will make the victory significantly less hype than his victory over Queen (which is a comparable feat to Luffy's victory over Katakuri last arc, or at least Cracker)
There was a clear gap between the punch and Top-Man, so Luffy was definitely using A-Coc with Red Roc. The indication is that Topman's level of A-Coc is significantly higher than Luffy's.
(I also think this is the first definitive A-Coc move we've seen this arc)
DBZ/Naruto can be fun to watch if you don't follow the plot because they had a high density of fight episodes. One Piece not so much - the early fight scenes were pretty vanilla compared to early Naruto and DBZ/DBGT, even more so after the 4kidz edits. And it's hard to follow a story when 4Kidz...
This is the farthest back in history we've seen a Gorosei right? Saturn looks exactly the same age, adding more credence to the "Gorosei have been around since Void Century" theory
Wonder if the key to being able to move is to not look at Saturn, taking inspiration from Medusa. After all, marines who looked at Saturn seem to be automatically killed.
If so, Sanji might be in a good place to do some damage.
