This seems like the new version of Blackbeard becoming a Warlord just to gain access to Impel Down in order to beef up his crew, the same crew that killed Whitebeard. I'm actually really curious at what Blackbeard hopes to gain as a world government-affiliated king.

Honestly, the Final War has potential to be a complete disaster with the sheer amount of characters that Oda promised to reintroduce to the story.

Probably the retconning of Luffy's fruit being a mythical zoan with the model of a concept Oda didn't even introduce until the middle of Wano Kingdom. That's such a huge plot point for the overall story of One Piece, it's really bizarre Oda didn't build up to it better.

To be fair that is a strong point. Wano's citizens starving really should have been explored by Sanji. It's the largest part of his character.

Shanks was portrayed as Whitebeard's equal pre-timeskip when they clashed, whereas Mihawk at Marineford was portrayed as someone who wasn't even at his level. I never understood how people could think Mihawk was Shank's equal after that.
