Probably the retconning of Luffy's fruit being a mythical zoan with the model of a concept Oda didn't even introduce until the middle of Wano Kingdom. That's such a huge plot point for the overall story of One Piece, it's really bizarre Oda didn't build up to it better.

To be fair that is a strong point. Wano's citizens starving really should have been explored by Sanji. It's the largest part of his character.
