As someone who thinks Oda and One Piece fell off a giant cliff, I don't hate it. It's definitely disappointing that Zoro doesn't seem to be getting something entirely new, but it fixes a couple things from the King fight in my opinion. In Wano Zoro never officially acknowledged his own...

I don't think his vast battle experience is saving him if his heart gets cut in half. But maybe Oda will once again find some dumbass loophole to keep him alive

Just an FYI since I see this is being discussed. Something being congenital (present at birth) is not the same as something being genetic (hereditary). CoC can also have a hereditary component to it without being strictly genetic.

I think it’s because Zoro cut the thorns. He was confused about whether or not Zoro could actually use CoC so he thought maybe Zoro has heat powers that can damage the thorns instead
