Well, my main issue with DJ/IJ is that it is a mode that mimics a fraction of the Mera Mera no mi powers with no additional upside bar being able to swim. I was a huge supporter of Mera Mera Sanji in Dressrosa. Then there is the visual aspect

Mother Flame is unique and much closer to fusion than to fire. DJ/IJ flames are just a shadow of what any Mera Mera no mi user or Oven could achieve
