Not quite as good as last episode but still a fantastic follow up. Lots of great action animation, but even outside of that the direction was wonderful, and there were plenty of nice character animation scenes as well.
Not really a break as much as it gives them an extra bit of time to work on the episode. Most animation would *PROBABLY* be done, but it helps in other areas.
I don't even watch the recap episodes lol.
They are literally completely skippable.
They serve a great purpose however at giving the anime some extra production room, which is great. Its a good use of resources.
He punched base Lucci once in gear 5th, clearly demonstrating that Lucci was completely outmatched.
How is that "misrepresenting the source material".
Again, you take power levels way to seriously.
Oda does shit like this all the time lol. Just look at Wano.
????Kyros??? You mean that guy that Doffy nearly outright murdered and who later on even said "we literally would only just get in Luffy's way if we tried to help him fight Doffy".
Kyros was arguably more outmatched against Doffy than Sanji was.
Pretty sure its popularity in Japan hasn't dropped off.

Anyway, this was a really great chapter. Its stuff like this where the characters express their concerns and fears which illustrate the themes of the story which are the beating heart of a story. I like the fact that it very much...
I'm very pleased that One Piece is finally getting some great character animation more consistently in the TV anime! Character animation is a great way of bringing the larger than life personalities of Oda's characters into reality, and definitely can go a long way to make them more endearing...
