Neither of those fights were the best animated by any stretch of the imagination.
I'd say that its tough to consider what constitutes the best animation fight.
Luffy vs Katakuri is still a decently impressive fight(even outside of the Snakeman episode, it was still decently visually...
I got the impression that Joyboy was potentially the descendant of Davey Jones.
I guess we'll find out eventually, but I feel there is a definite link between Davey Jones and Joyboy we don't yet understand.
By the sounds of things, Joyboy may have had allies from certain countries like the giants and fishman island, but Imu was the one with the far larger unified force.

While you could definitely argue about the strength of the content being adapted, I think that Egghead has really proven itself to be more consistent with its stand out episodes that Wano has.

So he is significantly stronger here than he was in Dressrosa over the bat. He had to be in order to use Enma properly.
Doffy didn’t need Fuji to step in to defend himself against Zoro.
He was just aura farming to show off that he had an admiral on side.
