Yeah, but the fight you are praising is the Doflamingo fight, which had a whole section in episode 723 which is literally just a cheap dragon ball imitation.
Because the main influence on Wano isn't Dragon Ball Super, its just modern animators generally.
I have no idea why people think that Onigashima's fights was due to a surge of Dragon Ball Super animators on the series.
Dragon Ball Super ended over a year before Wano even started during WCI...
It was a fight that was dragged for over a decade and brought down the image of the series.
I don't think its that bad, but its undeniably a fight that has been almost relentlessly mocked for its lack of quality and polish.
Neither of those fights were the best animated by any stretch of the imagination.
I'd say that its tough to consider what constitutes the best animation fight.
Luffy vs Katakuri is still a decently impressive fight(even outside of the Snakeman episode, it was still decently visually...
I got the impression that Joyboy was potentially the descendant of Davey Jones.
I guess we'll find out eventually, but I feel there is a definite link between Davey Jones and Joyboy we don't yet understand.
By the sounds of things, Joyboy may have had allies from certain countries like the giants and fishman island, but Imu was the one with the far larger unified force.
Joyboy was the king of a single kingdom if what we learnt at Ohara is to be believed.
