Yup, exactly. Being Zoro's main arc opponent has its perks if we're speaking about TOEI lmao. They were never going to make him look bad. He's had consistently good animation up to this point, and all of the expanded stuff they added only solidifies this.

Luffy's initial attack wasn't WSG, it was a slow-ass Elephant Gun variant. There's nothing that proves that TOEI Kiz could dodge WSG even if he is aware of it's rebound nature. They also removed Kiz accelerating it with his laser lmao. This makes TOEI Kiz look worse than his canon counterpart...

... No one really gives a shit when a) it was already extremely clear in the manga that Luffy's timer is running out and he's on his last legs – he literally admitted that he hit his limit; b) TOEI Kiz can never hope to land a direct hit on Goofy, whereas Goofy has the speed to do so to TOEI Kiz.
