A black blade isn't supposed to be a power-up it is the achievement. Zoro isn't going to be stronger when he makes a black blade but rather the result of him being that strong.

True Oda already gave the answer; he made Zoro fight both Kaku and Jabra while carrying and getting hindered by Usopp then went on to defeat the guy stronger than Jabra so as you said ''keep coping''.

Never could. The best ''fights'' in One Piece don't hold a candle to the worst ones in other mangas. If you read One Piece for fights then you got it all wrong from the get go.
