Arabastra and Dressrosa were both dragged like hell, the pacing is as shitty as always, One piece didn't change that much over the years, it's just a very good Shonen with an erratic author.

The only thing that is avoiding Luffy to do a greater use of G5 is himself, luckily Gaban made him react with his speech

Rayleigh went soft, Gaban is closer to what he used to be, I guess having someone to protect made him not neglect his training whereas Ray couldn't really overcome losing Roger

Imu's fights were shorter, only Loki can really face him, Gaban may stall him but he's not as strong as Yamato was to Kaido relatively speaking
