Powers & Abilities Why are Big Mom and Kaido assumed to have Awakening?

They're yonkos lol nuff said...kaidos awakening will shine when he is ko in chap 532 we get introduced to the Minotaur by the end of the fight with it Luffy has defeated the Minotaur he even says this himself on a group chant with bon clay and buggy and mr 3 the Minotaur is down for the count it is knocked out and defeated per odas words now go to chap 544 page 11 everyone is shocked that the Minotaur is back up bon clay even says what? I thought we beat it already crocodile then explains that a key factor for awakens zoans are recovery speed also in this chapter the other 3 jailer beast are down as well but in 545 they are back up so it makes sense for kaido to not show his yet and as far as bm i can only think that either that life take away and boosting her is her awakening and oda has just not mentioned it or something will come later for her later
Big Mom's awakening could easily be her ability to take lifespan from others.
Kaido has been doing fine with hybrid; if anything, he will show his awakening (if he indeed has it) once Luffy threatens him for real.
And people assume they're awakened because they're experienced users on top of piracy.

No, the basic of her power is giving life to souless things using her own lifespan, which is what Carmel was shown to achieve, what Linlin did as a kid and what fits the most their motherly (giving birth) theme; also, I highly doubt the basic of her power requires others to be afraid of you in order to work.
Being capable of creating endless homies by controlling the soul of others may sound basic because we've seen Linling doing it from the start, but it's a direct showing of how to use the Soru Soru beyond your own body (which fits Doflamingo's, Katakuri's, Kid's and even Laws considering he can alter objects and "turn" them into ROOMs).
What else could her awakening be? Recovering souls from Heaven? Giving life to bodies, which she can't do as of now?

"Taking and giving life" can be done with your own soul, which, again, is what Carmel did and what Linlin did as a noob with her fruit. Nothing supports that the ability to take lifespan away from those who are scared of you is a basic too, especially considering how it's a way to expand your power beyond yourself and affect others with it —which is how Paramecia awakening works so far.

Because they'll be too weak for their positions otherwise.
A Hybrid Kaido trying his best to defeat Yamato couldn't do all that much to her within 10 chapters, and she was still in pretty good condition when she left the battlefield.
Of course, Yamato is really strong, but when you consider that Luffy has Emperor class Haoshoku, 3 forms of Gear Fourth and a potential Gear Five, it becomes immediately apparent that Kaido needs to be significantly stronger than he's shown to push Luffy to his limits.
Alternatively, a Base Luffy with a crude and clumsy Haoshoku coating technique was capable of facing Kaido head on for around 20 minutes.

Wouldnt be strange to me if this ability of eating her own soul and making those shadows that collected souls in WCI is BM awakening.
For Kaido, dont think Zoan get awakening like Paramecias, for what we have seen from the guards of ID, they were in permanent state of awakening and didnt have a human mind anymore, its kind like they were mentally broke by torture and become brainless beasts (much like pre-TS monster Chopper). Dont think the Zoan can enter in awakening whatever they want. Pehaps if Luffy push Kaido to the edge he will lose his mind and enter in a "awakening state" and become a beast forever, would fit his theme of "Beast King".
