Speculations Did Kuma kill/kidnap Kuina?

Wild theory but time-wise it probably matches.
We don't know of any major happenings related to the Warlords during luffy's childhood.
Maybe the order/ one of the orders is to sail 5min away from luffy's Island and visit shimotsuki village (again).

Oda might retcon her ridiculous death.

Kuma aka Down D Stairs???
:crazwhat:
Being forced into killing/kidnapping a +-10 yo girl right after he was forced to leave his own +-10 yo girl. The irony would hit hard. Were Ryuuma genes used for Seraphim perhaps?

Might be the case as well, considering his sexist patriarchic nature.
But the 'coincidences' raised new suspicion in me.
Kuma doesn't seem the type to kill someone's child and if he was how did he do it unnoticed he's not exactly hard to spot

I believe it's bullshit but not because of that reason. I think they made Kuina move elsewhere just to motivate Zoro because they saw potential in him the same way Mihawk saw so they wanted him to go beyond and not see Kuina as his rival (women only adheres to traditional gender roles in his culture).

Kuina more or less committed suicide.
Also one of the most valid theories. She expressed her loss of any hope to become WSS before after all.
So yeah, the stairs might just be an euphemism for her suicide. But we've rarely seen such a decision by important characters. Maybe some kamikaze moves but no straight up suicide. Especially not from a family line known for being fierce, powerful and strong-willed.

Just found the coincidence interesting that Kuma (and thus the WG) was around at potentially the same time Kuina supposedly died.

Yeah this has always been what I think happened too. There's the silly rumor that stairs are a euphemism for suicide in Japan which isn't true, but when one piece came out Japan was in the middle of a massive suicide epidemic, with rates going up huge across the board but mainly in youth who were feeling like they had no future or no ability to be what they wanted to be. So if kuina did kill herself it would reflect the stuff that was in the newspapers in Japan constantly around that time.

Falling down the stairs is a metaphor for suicide in japan btw.Kuina killed herself.
