Vegapunk didnt die. To he die, his brain needs to be destoyed. Basically, only his body died with the damage he suffered.
Now Vegapunk is just a brain. His conciousness will only be thought and memories. He wont see, listen and so on anymore (unless someone create a new and connect to his brain)
