Apprentice Shanks was a genius that using Kamusari (a CoC technique that no one could copy in Roger pirates before) when Shanks was just an apprentice in Roger pirates, yet Shanks haters were saying Apprentice Buggy = Apprentice Shanks, and Shanks was a fodder etc.
Even though Buggy literally said Shanks was so superior to him during their apprentice days, Buggy gave up on his dream because it didn't look like he could ever catch up to Shanks's level. Shanks literally owned Buggy by making Buggy give up on his dream.
I mean what was the thought process behind this Apprentice Buggy = Apprentice Shanks claim? Shanks and Buggy were bickering so is that mean Buggy = Shanks?
But then we see the hypocrisy about this claim that they don't say the same for Zolo and Sanji bickering they don't say Zolo = Sanji, even though we don't even need this bickering argument for Zolo vs Sanji being close since; Zolo and Sanji have Dory Brogy parallel (which no other rivalry has, meaning its special to only Zolo and Sanji since Dory Brogy is the no.1 rivalry of One Piece), Zolo and Sanji are repeatedly called Wings by both Robin and Oda in SBS, they were also the next generation rivalry for Samurai Ryuma and Knight Romero rivalry in previous work from Oda as Oda himself said. They also fought similar level opponents and at the same time, Zolo even was jealous of Sanji when Luffy called Sanji strong.
Oda also currently giving close bounties to both, not Zolo and Luffy getting close bounties, or that Zolo's opponents are defeated almost at the same time with Sanji defeating his opponent, it wasn't close with Luffy defeating his opponent, Oda specifically keeping that win time close with Sanji's battles, Zolo's battles are not close time with Luffy's battle, and Sanji also having even superior feats than Zolo like speed feats and dodging Kata, blocking laser and block kick Nusjuro etc etc. Bickering isn't an indication of rivalry, its about the feats, and competitiveness towards close level opponents, and jealousy about each others powers.
