--> lost to Kaido outside of Wano with Killer in 2v1
--> fought Kaido and BM in Onigashima with other SNs in 5v2
--> Defeated Linlin in 2v1 with Law

--> lost to Shanks at Elbaf , kid pirates lost to RHP + Giants
--> Kid is about to beat Loki or Shiki or whoever is the top tier villain here in 1v1 duel

Kid always bounces back after a loss and gets a W

Unlike the other times that he lost bounced back, this time it was announced that their dreams had been shattered and they had been defeated. Useless captain Mid ain’t returning.

here it says they were utterly defeated. Not mentioned that their dreams were destroyed though. Don’t know what you are reading.

Also imagine comparing useless captain mid to the main character. Kid won’t bounce back. If he is alive he will be an ally of Luffy and join the grand fleet. However any aspiration towards becoming PK are gone.

I hope Kidd does stop harming innocent people and that he changes in that way, and if does yeah I hope he returns and suceeds, his dream probably only requires pirate king as a possible means to an end, being the king of the pirates may not be needed for it,

Pirate King is a means to an end for everyone

Law wants it to learn the true history
Luffy wants it to achieve his unrevealed dream

We don’t know why Kid wants to be PK

But if I were to guess, it might have something to do with being respected. Kid is always laughed at and shitted on, even in the story. He hates when people disrespect him, killing those who laughed at his dreams. Caribou also said Kid has a bad reputation.

I think Vivre card said he wanted to be the most evil pirate? Not sure.

Friendly rival. Most shounen have them (Vegeta, Yuno, Bakugo, ect). That’s what Kidd is to Luffy. The rivalry is still real, but they aren’t enemies because Kidd is not an antagonist. If it was meant to be a complete gag then Oda wouldn’t give Kidd the status/accomplish that he’s had.
