tbh i was in conflict with my self..i was hesitant to post tis teory becuz it looks like hooded man who appeared in the last manga panel of one piece chapter1134 is 90,13% not shanks but instead it's his identical twin or looklike...
however i still have hopes and doubts so i'll post it anyways :
my theory is that i still believe that hooded man might still shanks :
Oda is a master of deception and i think hooded man we see meeting the gorosei in chapters 907 and visiting elbaf in chapter 1134 is still shanks...teh reason Oda showed the unscared right side of the figure's face was to bait readers into thinking : "This can’t be Shanks it must be his twin or a lookalike.."
Oda wanted us to feel like we outsmarted him by theorizing about a twin but in reality he’s setting us up for an even bigger twist...
imagine if it’s revealed later that this hooded man is Shanks all along ( i know it's weak possibility but still)...the amount of shock and "WTF" moments would be insane...everyone would start questioning why Shanks who’s suposed to be a good guy and teh inspiration behind Luffy’s journey would secretly meet with the gorosei...does he want to steal one piece and give it to world government??? Is he working with imu sana???..
shanks has always been a mysterious character..and he’s arguably teh most important character in the story after lufy..he gave luffy a straw hat and inspired him to become a great pirate but there have been subtle hints throughout manga that shanks might not be as straightforward as we think...if Oda reveals this twist it would turn shanks into an even more complex and significant character...It would make sense for him to be tied to major secrets and conspiracies in the world of one piece...
this would chalenge our perception of shanks as a "good guy" and add depth to his character..what if his actions are motivated by something we can’t yet understand..like protecting a greater secret or fulfilling an ancient promise???..
