They weren't hurt coz previously before Shamrocks appearance we were having fun seeing how all these retards fandoms having difficulty in digesting Shanks superior portrayal and how his presence is destroying there favorites.

Now after Shamrocks appearance, all there theories like all there previous ones got destroyed and they were humiliated as well. So why weren't having fun seeing you all cry in a corner.

Unironically, Shanks being a "rat" would've been a far more interesting route for this character than being a standard good mentor character. I've always been a Shanks fan (so far), this is my take on the whole topic, from chapter discussion:

- Warning Whitebeard to not let Ace run amok, shown to be interested preventing choas from reckless world, establishing him as a more diplomatic character.
- Sengoku saying "We will listen because it's you"
- Gorosei interaction.
- Member of Figarland family.

All the setup was there, to make him a character who's well intentioned but willing to play both sides for the sake of stability and his own motives.
Had potential to become one of the best characters in the series, along with even guys like Doflamingo. But nah, Loda can't make his self insert appear anything other than a perfect goodboi.
