Character Discussion Mihawk is the most successful OP character

#64
A fat obese bastard like Blackbeard managed to scratch Shanks WITH NO DEVIL FRUIT mind you.
Lost his arm to a fish.
Didn't partake in Marineford like Mihawk, preferred to have wine drinking contest with Laido.
Needed to use his strongest move alongside all his haki AND Kidds own attack just to knock him out.

Ok Shanks the corporate spoiled son of the Gods Knights leader was given leeway enough to become a Yonko by the Navy and World Government, Mihawk got it out the mud
NO FAMILY ties nothing.
Worlds Strongest Swordsman is below PIrate King, but Shanks is just a mere Yonko.

Mihawk has better drip.

These are such an antifeats its not even close.

Mihawk could never relate, the only thing getting through his skin in 20+ years was the mustache and beard that he grew.

Crazy part?

Mihawk isn't even trying. He literally just chilling 95% of the time he's onscreen unlike Shanks, always on edge reading Wanted posters and being as active as possible. Not Mihawk though, he just does what he wants.

Mihawk is a legend in-verse as well. People aren't scared of Shanks like that when he pulls up, even random mooky bandits disrespected him in the first episodes of One Piece. Even Bartolomeo and his mooks disrespected his flag.

Not a soul has done that to Mihawk. Theres levels to this.

1.
Shanks and Mihawk used to have legendary duels.

Mihawk is now known as the strongest swordsman in the world.

Shanks has never been known as the strongest swordsman in the world.

This is despite Shanks being a Yonko and having the strongest commanders while Mihawk instead remained alone in his lonely castle, not building any empire nor doing anything that would falsely boost the perception of his strength among the populace.

People who are hung up on "Nobody else chases after the WSS title" are mentally impaired.

Who wants to become the WSM or the WSC specifically? No one. They are not titles that comes with treasures like the Pirate King or Yonko. Every swordsman wants to be the WSS because every swordsman wants to be stronger than the rest as a means to a goal. There's nothing else to gain. Not even Zoro would want to be WSS as a goal because of his very specific backstory and to honor Kuina.

Mihawk, on the other hand, just wants a swordsman on his level to appear and have a good fight again. Otherwise, as he has shown throughout the series, he's bored and looking to chill.
