Pokémon is literally the most succesful franchise out there.

People out there won't know what anime is but know what a Pikachu is.

Pokémon is undefeated.

The face of the anime in general so even non anime fans would know them. I would go Pokemon,even 90 yo grandmas know pikachu. Goku has his spot with dragonball but at 3rd personally I would put Yugioh before the other options. Something that moves past manga and anime gets way higher... HxH is nothing compare to these it is not even close.

Kinda wild that neither Sailor Moon nor Astro Boy are on this list… they’re more recognizable to non anime fans than any HxH character by good miles.

Only counter with Yugioh is that they change cast every arc as such it’s hard to argue an anime who changes their face every generation can be a “face of anime” but that’s just my opinion here.
