The only people who really support it in the west are far leftists and Muslims.

I suspect most of this backlash is due to the fact that one piece is very popular in the Muslim world.

if you want to talk about BDS boycott season 2 of Marty Adelstein's OPLA where they race swapped an entire nation of people from Arabic to Indian so they wouldn't show Arabic political revolutionaries in a positive light.
