General & Others Chapters been boring lately

The strawhat (aside of luffy zoro and Sanji ) are very boring and bring nothing to the story maybe except robin.
Gaban so far has been more enjoyable to me then the strawhat (aside of luffy zoro and Sanji)

Holy knights are boring outside of shamrock and gunko. Not feeling sommers and the other.

I’m hoping the next couple chapters are about gaban or back to monster trio-loki

Oda can offscreen what’s happening to jimbei usopp nami brook etc

I wished oda gave us an arc without the strawhat pirates. an arc mainly about shanks, BB and other pirates :zosleepy:

Yeah, at this point no one really cares about the island-centric plots anymore, but i have a feeling that Elbaf will be the last time we have this.

In Egghead it become clear that the bits with Teach, Law, Garp, Kuzan, Koby, Shanks, Kid, Sabo and Imu were what everyone wanted, while the shit 7 Vegapunks plots were super boring.

Same in Wano with the Wano citzens plots, no one really cared about Hyogoro, the Yakuza, the Scabbards, Tama, Toko or any other random Wano inhabitant, people wanted to see the SH vs Beast Pirates.

Now in Elbaph, besides Loki plot, no one cares about Saul, Colon, Hadrujin and his crew, Dorry&Broggy, the kids, the school, etc. But again the arc had gotten full os side charcaters and this mean the SH need to useless and cant really solve the problems that they clarle should be able to solve.

All the arcs had this minor island-centric plots, but in mostly they build around a characters that would join the crew with the side charcaters bein what they are, side characters.

Yep, but it's about time for Oda to start tying up the loose ends of the story, instead of repeating the same formula for every island.
Elbaph at least had the mural and more focus on SHP as there are no 9 scabbards, 6 Vegapunks, or gazillion of BM's children who look like clones of each other. She could have had 10-12 or so and it would be the enough, out of all her spawns I can name without reference only a handful, like Pudding, Katakuri, Brulee, Perosprero, Oven, Amanda, Lola & Chiffon, Smoothie (who is still the most wasted character ever). Other than that it's "ah, and there's also the guy who BM killed, the annoying Pudding's younger sister, the sharky chick married to Jinbe's former VC, and the dude Luffy fought initially. Cracker? And I at least can name them, which is not true about the scabbards, who should've been cut in half if not more.
Sorry for the rant, I just wish for OP to focus on more interesting stuff than extra characters who are absolutely unnecessary.

Yes!!! This!!! I was trying to understand what annoys me so much lately, and this is exactly what you said - there's no feeling that characters drive the plot, the plot simply makes them do something.
There are bits of it here and there (like Luffy's decision to free Loki), but not enough imo.
