Somehow Naruto is cool when you think about it but reading through shippuden is a slog and I do not know why.
Up to Sasuke retrieval is great. I blame the rasenshuriken.

Every single time that luffy has brought Peace has been different in the last 15 years, with Punk Hazard destroyed, Rebellion squashed in FI, Dethroned doffy in Dressrosa, no bossfight in Zou, Ran away from big mom, and dethroned Kaido. Then in Egghead there was again no big bad and it was an arc with very little comparison so far.
But I guess that all these are the same!

I think he does but I also think Oda has such a high opinion of himself that he genuinely thought that G5 was a genius idea and that everybody would like it.

Now he can lie about that after seeing that some people didn't like it but I'm sure he thought he was being a genius when he came up with that idea.

Now he has no choice but to force it into the story which is not working at all. Nobody ever heard or talked about Nika for more than a 1000 chapters and then suddenly everyone mentions this shitty god out of nowhere.

I think people on this thread are confusing basic plot structure with story repetition. If "go to location and confront an antagonist" is going to seriously be considered a story in of itself instead of just a basic plot structure guideline then most of fiction is just repetitive then.
