At first, I thought Ryuo, the Flowing Haki from Wano that allows for Adv CoA Internal Destruction, was limited to CoA.
Now, I'm thinking different.
Ryuo "Flows" into the opponent.
Future Sight allows you to "sense" your enemies future attack. Is this Ryuo, allowing you to sense the intent/desire of your enemy, your Observation Haki "Flowing" into your enemy?
Basic CoC allows you to send out a pulse that knocks people.
Adv CoC Coating allows you to make a protective barrier as well as Emit your CoC directly into your foe; we see this from Roger/Newgate and Luffy/Kaido clashing
Adv CoC Ryuo has your CoC Haki Infuse/Flow into your enemy, and attack their Soul/Will from the inside.
That's why Gyaban terrifies Sommers:
He's using Adv CoC Ryuo, and negating the Abyss attached to Sommers' Soul.
Observation hits the Mind.
Armament hits the Body.
Supreme King/Conquerors hits the Soul/Spirit.
Joy's Boy's Rope Haki is Adv CoC Ryuo "bound" together via Rope (like the Straws in a Straw Hat, hence the Giant Straw Hat Imu has in Mary Geoise).
When unleashed, Joy Boy's Rope didn't even "damage" the Gorosei: it broke through their Soul Magic, and negated their Magic Circles, forcing them back to where they were summoned from. We know this, because Saturn was still on Egghead; he just returned to his ship.
None of the Gorosei were injured by the CoC, because it had no Armament to cut/damage them; it overrid their Abyss, which is Soul based. We know from Moria the Shadow is a part of the Soul... this is what the Abyss is, IMO.
Usopp called Sommers' a zombie, and I think he was on to something.
Like Moria's Zombies, the God's Knights are using their own Shadows/the dark aspect of their Souls to recover. But, like with Moria, the cost is simple; freedom.
That's why Gunko got so mad at Brook: she knows she made a deal with the devil, and is no longer free. She escaped slavery of the body, to become a Soul slave to Imu.
If Saturn fails? Imu lights him up. In some ways, the God's Knights/Gorosei are the greatest slaves in the series.
