LeBron + Austin Reaves + Bronny to the Cavs for Jarrett Allen and Donovan Mitchell
Who says no here?
Lakers get a relatively young star in Mitchell (28) and a reliable center in Jarrett Allen (27).
Mitchell needs a change of scenery, IMO, after the Cavs' collapse against the Pacers, and Jarrett Allen + Mobley just isn't working in the Post-Season, they need to move one of their centers, and it's NOT going to be Mobley.
LeBron gets to end his career playing in Cleveland with Bronny, his son, and takes Austin Reaves, a young guard he likes, with him back to Ohio, a state that LOVES white dudes.
Cleveland needs a 3 to push them over the edge, and their 2 SG 2 Center lineup just DOESN'T work in the playoffs.
IMO the rigged Draft Lottery + Luke trade was also done knowing LeBron wants to go back home.
Luka gets a younger star to grow with (Mitchell), and Allen, a center who is elite as a lob-threat, when Luka excels at tossing alley-oops.
LeBron shores up the 3 position for the Cavs, and gets a Stretch 5 in Mobley for the first time since Chris Bosh (I HATE blood clots)
Reaves gets to stay with LeBron and compete for a title, when the Lakers really don't want to pay him that much money on his next contract.
Laker's post-trade line-up: Gabe Vincent, Donovan Mitchell, Luka Doncic, Rui Hachimura, Jarrett Allen.
Cav's post-trade line-up: Darius Garland, Austin Reaves, LeBron James, De'Andre Hunter, Evan Mobley.
Outside Jarrett Allen, who isn't a shooter, each of those lineups has a ton of 3 point shooting for the modern game.
The Cavs would be especially dangerous from 3-point-land: (APG = Attempts Per Game)
Garland = .401 on 7.1 APG
Reaves = .377 on 7.3 APG
LeBron = .376 on 5.7 APG
Hunter = .426 on 5.2 APG
Mobley = .370 on 3.2 APG
That's an average of 28.5 Three-Pointers a game, with every player not named Mobley taking at least 5 Three-Pointers a game.
Mobley is fast/athletic enough, despite his size, to operate well in small ball line ups, and, Reaves is pretty big for a guard. IMO, if LeBron wants to put himself in the best position to win, he should head back home.
