Can a medieval knight wearing armor, carrying a daggger and sword slay a lion?
Let's say it's a gladiator arena and he can choose his armor and the equipment he needs before the fight.

I think he wins.
Rd2: what about you?
I think i would beat the overgrown cat if i'm wearing armor and have a blade personally.

R1: Knight ftw, too well armoured and has better weapons.

R2: I somehow find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and end up in the jaws of the lion instead.

Yes, he can win. Still 50/50, there are many variables so can’t say for sure. A lion can still pounce and fling the dude around easily.

I would personally get killed lmfao. I’m not used to pain and surrounded by death like the medieval knight is.

Wearing proper steel and swinging a heavy sword with such strength enough to mortally wound a lion is definitely harder than people realize. Gladiators of the past, at least men worth their salt, most likely would win. A tiger is probably too much, they take less risks and are faster and more agile.
You need hella strong shoulders to swing a heavy sword and my shoulders are a strength point in my body, I'll take my chances
Organize it now

The likelihood of a lion's bite force penetrating plate armor (mixed with chainmail) is practically nonexistent, and a knight could keep a lion at bay simply by swinging his sword. A sword would not require much force to cut a lion's skin, even with a graze.

Thus, the knight should be able to handle this challenge with relative ease.

when a lion bite ur whole ass and chew it then u'll see if a sword wouldn't take much power to cut a lions skin..

It wouldn't take much force from a longsword or any other bladed weapon wielded by a knight to leave a sizable cut anywhere on a lion's flesh, but that lion is never going to get anywhere close to the knight, at all.

Even a single cut could leave a deep wound on its face or even slice off a leg during its lunge.
