Also seems like a lock that Brook isn’t Gunko’s actual father but possibly her caretaker (giving some credence to the princess theory) or adopted Dad

She called him Brook at the end of the chapter. Now I don’t know how it is in other places around the world but kids usually don’t call their birth parents by their first names

Most likely something like Sanji/Zeff

According to ChatGPT:

ああ!! レイリーに 並ぶ 海賊王の 右腕…!! ああ!! – "Ah!!" (expressing surprise or realization)
レイリーに並ぶ – "on par with Rayleigh" or "standing alongside Rayleigh"
並ぶ (narabu) literally means “to line up with,” “to stand alongside,” or “to rival/be on equal footing with.” 海賊王の右腕 – "the right-hand man of the Pirate King"

Yeah we’re guaranteed to find out what the counter is within a few chapters

Gaban will reveal the method before they go up to fight

There isn’t nearly enough time for a training arc though so I’d imagine it’s something some characters already possess
Kairōseki in the weapons (likely for strawhats) , or advanced Conqueror's haki (most unlikely for SHs)

Sea stone isn’t possible because Luffy and Sanji don’t use weapons and Zoro obviously won’t swap out his swords

Plus that wouldn’t help in this situation. Where would they randomly find seastone weapons to fight with?

I don’t think CoC works either because not enough characters have it

First of all it's agenda so that doesn't matter. Secondly Imu was never the point, the point is if even Imu is considering himself as part of the military force then anyone below him known to the public is absolutely part of the World Governments military force.
Agenda should still be sensible and not devolve into degeneracy though. And I agree with the rest The Hks are absolutely known military powers in the world and its been repeated a few times this arc, not sure about the Gorosei though.

Agenda aside I don't count Gorosei as an active military force. However, most within the world government are aware they can fight.

i mean given this chapter the Gorosei didnt show anything that the Hk didnt so i dont know how much that differation matters at this point even if i agree

Gunko's arrows probably wouldn't do much to a giant with Loki's size so Shamrock needed to do the job i guess
We literally see him bleeding from her punches.

And Shamrock didn't decide to stab him in place of Gunko. Shamrock stabbed him cause loki personally pissed shamrock off with his threat.

I can see 3 options based on what we saw from Gaban:
a) Haki-related, obvious and likely one. Either another technique under the CoA tree like permanent infusion or it is aCoC adjacent.

b) Hit them quick enough to wherein the body doesn’t even register the attack yet and thus the healing doesn’t begin. Gaban blitzed Sommers twice and both times led to the regen stopped working. This is a big reach from me lol.

c) Could be that you need to hit them a certain way, there might be weak spots or a “core” like in FMA.

According to chatgpt:

🗨️ Far right vertical bubble:

Japanese:
何を グズグズ してる…

English (cleaned):
What are you hesitating for…?

🗨️ Bubble next to it (near Imu):

Japanese:
イム様!!!

English (cleaned):
Lord Imu!!!

🗨️ Middle bubble (large, centered):

Japanese:
“運命”は 今… 火の海だ

English (cleaned):
Fate is now… a sea of fire.

🗨️ Top-left bubble:

Japanese:
うわ 何だ この人…

English (cleaned):
Whoa, what is with this person…

🗨️ Bottom-left bubble (top part):

Japanese:
顔が こわくなった!!

English (cleaned):
Their face got scary!!

🗨️ Bottom-left bubble (bottom part):

Japanese:
“識覚”に 膨大な 戦力を 要するのだ

English (cleaned):
“Consciousness” requires immense military power.

I am assuming you want the proper translation for the last part for admirals vs HKs discussion

Japanese:

“識覚”に 膨大な 戦力を 要するのだ

Word-by-word breakdown:

  • “識覚” (しきかく / shikikaku) – literally means "cognitive sense" or "perception." In this context, it's likely a special term, possibly referring to a unique ability or power (could be a coined term in the story).
  • – particle indicating the target or subject acted upon ("requires for" or "towards").
  • 膨大な (ぼうだいな / bōdai na) – enormous, vast.
  • 戦力 (せんりょく / senryoku) – military power, combat strength.
  • – object marker.
  • 要する (ようする / yōsuru) – to require, to demand.
  • のだ – explanatory tone ("it is that...").

Cleaned-up Translation:

“Shikikaku” requires an enormous amount of military power.

Or more naturally:

“Shikikaku” demands vast military strength.
