The way i see it tbh, it's SHs job to answer such cry for Help,
They are the Military Force that Imu desperately needs right now, just like every Arc before,

Imu quite literally maintains a food oligarchy.

Imu oppressed the world for over 900 years, majority of what is wrong with the world is because of the system he built. Piracy can also be about expressing freedom, so Imu as the final villain checks out. A millenia of suffering has a figurehead and that makes him the final villain, not for whatever reason like the BBP looking weak.

Say that BB absorbs Imu, so what? He becomes the king of the world for an hour before Luffy beats him. Fight would be empty as compared to stopping the ruler who’s already done it for ages.

Like i said Sanji does not need anyone if Oda wants him to be that strong and Zoro set up to be next mihawk not Ryuma.
Zoro does not have any country that going worship like some god or be the person that stop invaders for that country for years .

We already have the solution for the Swordfriends' Temple fear:
one of Brogy's arm was injured by Imu before he got demonified.
So even if Dorry and Brogy are perfectly equals, and Zoro and Sanji will beat them with the same difficulty, they can say that Dorry was stronger because Brogy was injured, so Zoro is stronger than Sanji.
