I read Berserk twice, watched the anime and movies. Oda constructed a richer world, with more interesting things going on. There isn't much going on in Berserk other than "Guts has to take down Griffith and get rid of that sacrifice mark". In One Piece, side characters from eons ago make a return and are relevant to the plot. One Piece is just a wayyyyyy more complex story. Berserk doesn't even have 400 chapters. OP has more than twice the content Berserk has to offer. Berserk is a great story, but i don't think the Berserk verse is a rich as the one Oda made. Just my 2 cents. No need to get personal.

No, you didn't get my point. OP is more complex. Initially, we though the plot was about Luffy finding this treasure, but now we know it isn't. Every arc we got to learn more about the world and it's history. There are a bunch of unresolved mysteries that Oda has cooked that will pay off later on. Oda is very good at making his story unpredictable too. Berserk is a more straight forward and linear story.

One Piece isn't even complex in the slightest.
The only people that really think One Piece is "complex" are teenagers with some middle of the road education that lets them recognize some very basic themes Oda incorporates (racism etc.) which then leads to them thinking it has to be super deep.
Anyone who is a bit into literature or culture in general can only chuckle at the notion of a standard shonen like One Piece being "complex".

I don't agree that it only has the Griffith plot line and art, but I do agree that One Piece has more depth, as well as having more characters and storylines that you can get interested in.
As you said, One Piece deserves respect for having so many chapters and lasting for decades without becoming stale.
Seeing the snobbiness of Berserk fans kinda makes me feel less bad now.
