Imu really turned Gunko into GUNko.
Looks amazing
Can't wait to see how he looks in a scene with others present
Aye exactly man, I'm really happy, shocked and impressed over this. Quite in shock actually, trying to process it lol. Between the Sonic movies and now this, I don't hate CGI adaptations as much but then I look at the Lion King one and it dives back into pure hate temporarily again lmao.

This is fantastic though, I'm so glad. I'm worried about how his fighting style, his multiple forms will look but my god, if they ever get to Enies Lobby and actually pull off Monster Chopper somehow, I will respect and worship them SO HARD! I don't expect them to use the amazing roar sound they used for Monster Chopper in the anime, which I think was an actual Caribou roar too?:

English dub version, with that comment from the screenshot below too:

LMFAO THIS COMMENT @MonsterKaido :

I REMEMBER WHEN I USED TO THEORISE KAIDO WOULD LOVE CHOPPER'S RUMBLE BALLS (PAUSE) AND WANT TO USE THEM ON HIMSELF AND HIS "ZOAN CREW", SIGH LOL. *cries in Oni*

Hmmm...well, I don't hate it. But, I don't think it's automatic slam dunk, either.

I don't know if I like the "stringy" fur texture? I might have preferred something a little more "fluffy". But, that's likely just imitating real reindeer. I don't know if I can blame the animators for that.

Chopper's movements are also a little..."reserved" here? I'm so used to Chopper giving so many big, over-the-top reactions to things that it's a little strange to feel like he's not emoting a lot. But, live action is a different medium, with different rules. So, maybe something a bit more "controlled" is called for. It's likely a limitation of "TV" level CGI, but it doesn't look bad, really. But, it is just a bit stiffer than I'd ideally like.

I like the voice. I think it fits the character. Sound a lot like Tails from Sonic, even though it's a different person. She was Floor the Rabbit from Guardians of the Galaxy 3, though. No real notes, there. It'll be interesting to see if they change the voice or get different voice actors for Chopper's different forms, down the line.

So, I think this is...fine. I'm not blown away. But, I'm not overly disappointed, either. I think I would have personally done things a little differently with the design. But, this isn't bad. I'm...whelmed. Now, we just have to see how much Chopper is actually in the show itself. Hopefully he's in there for more than 5 minutes.
