Theory Luffy’s haki

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, so I apologize for any mistakes :(

We already know that the Nika fruit was eaten before and has awakened for the first time in 800 years. We also know that the Nika fruit chooses its owner. What if the Nika awakening is actually based on the owner’s Haki?

So, I don’t think it’s the Nika powers that will defeat Imu — I believe it will be Luffy’s Haki that makes the difference.

What do you think?

Well, Kaido did say only Haki transcends all, and he was specifically saying this to point out that Luffy's Devil Fruit can't conquer the world. And later, it was Joyboy's Haki that had Imu screaming, hunched over, shaking, and huffing.

I don't think DF awakening is haki based but if you don't have enough will power you will be consumed by the fruits will and become an instinct animal like the guys in impel down.

By haki, I meant willpower—sorry :( What I meant is that great willpower equals great haki, and that’s whats’s shaking Imu.

I agree, I wouldn’t be surprised if oda even pulled an end of gurren Lagan where all the mechs strip away and it devolves into a fistfight between a normal teenager with a strong will and an immortal being who fears the future that that simple teen boy has the guts to face. Imu also seems to have that “the world needs order or everything will eventually end and I fear that” vibe that the anti spiral have beyond all the “reee im god” bluster.

except obviously it wouldn’t be mecha, but if Luffy somehow even has his gomu gomu powers literally stripped away, he still knows how to throw a normal punch as we saw with Bellamy first. The first celestial dragon he “fought” he didn’t use the fruit against, he was so mad he just punched Charlos through the wall, really hard, with a normal human punch.

Seems far fetched but manga/anime do love to strip away powers and make it a battle of ideals in the end

In onepiece, coc haki is the embodiment of the user's spirit, and we can say that the spirit is basically the will/nature of the user, so sayng that nika chose luffy for his haki is correct, because nika chose luffy for his spirit/will/nature ecc

But i disagree with your conclusion: it will be a nika+haki mix, prime luffy will reach the pinnacle of both, devil fruit and haki
