Since Roger Ray and Gaban were close in terms of strength and we still have a few arcs till the end it makes total sense that some characters like Akainu,Shanks,Mihawk and Dragon will look superior to the old gen top dogs.

I still don't believe that the Gorosei are the final opponents.
