Asura was ass back then because it was Zoro's G3, we saw this against the pacifista where the two attacks were paralleled with G3 being the finishing blow on the Pacifista. DJ was more like Gear 2nd which is overall just better than G3 even if it packs less power per attack.

Sanji was balling man. Even his thriller bark feats against Oars were the best.

Zoro always only needed one Ashura hit

I feel like Dorry and Broggy as Z&S opponents only really exists for agenda reasons.

Like spectacle wise, they'd be lame opponents for both of them.

Sommers and killingham, you can do some really fun thematic points for both Zoro and Sanji

But they don't have little garden for people to endlessly argue over for 20 years.

Dorry and Brogy is only better as a callback to Little Garden and for agenda purposes

Sommers is infinitely more interesting as an opponent for Sanji

Killingham has the “aura” of a Zoro opponent but he doesn’t have the fighting style of one. A fight between them would essentially just be Killingham whipping up Nightmare Fodder for Zoro to oneshot before going back to CQC

Dorry/Brogy with their raw strength feel like either could be a Zoro opponent

Rayleigh is intelligent, Zoro is an idiot. See the difference? There might be some parallels but also differences same goes to gaban and sanji. Both are love type of guys but thats it. Gaban literally disrespected sanji by going to zoro instead of sanji when he asked if it was him.

or the part where Sanji was SURE he was also capable of being a conqueror? Now if he knew beforehand Zoro was a conqueror then I would just laugh it off as Oda’s dumb gag but this is news to him

Zoro is a 3 sword weilding Saitama but without the charm. Zoro legitimately cannot be made to lose, struggle, look goofy or bad. He has more plot armor than even Luffy

I realize Oda might not be great at writing battle Shounen? At power system and battles he is kinda mid. Most of the anime fighting sequences choreography is way better.

He most likely enjoy way more writing world building and the actual story themes he wants write, than the actual battle Shounen parts.

Yeah because only one Ashura and one G3 attack was needed

They were performance a combination so Zoro did his part and went to base and Luffy did his part

Meanwhile Piss Jambe was used as transportation device

Not to mention piss jambe wasnt even able to tickle Oars and Sanjis ultimate role was to move chains around

While Zoros Sanzen Sekkai 3 SWORD ATTACK was arguably portrayed stronger than G3 and literally FUCKED oars up.

Look at that panel and amount of blood oars loses
