Well to be fair I don't think strawhats fight Black Beard pirates at all - but if they do Sanji vs Shiryu would be an interesting match up that would subvert expectations and maybe we'll see how useful invisibility is in the hands of someone competent

Ehh, on one hand you may be right but on the other Gaban did outright say that regen negation requires good Conq Haki, and Law currently doesn't have it (though he'll get it in the future). They're probably slightly different

Other than both being swordsmen what parallels do they really have?

Of all of Zoro's enemies both past and present King had the most parallels I dare say The Beast Pirates in general parallels the strawhats better than bb pirates to a certain degree

The "Sanji is weak and pathetic" thing is getting old.

Let's face it. Oda is going the route where Sanji and Zoro are Luffy's wings, like Gaban and Rayleigh.

Sanji isn't weak. Oda is 100% giving him CoC. The final bosses are the gorosei and the Holy Knights and it is required to counter their immortality lol.
