First chapter where I actually felt for Shanks. Bro simply wanted to sail the seas with his homeboy but all that glazing and high expectations by the Roger crew gave Buggy a massive inferiority complex. Shanks wasn’t looking to take him as an underling :josad:

Hope they get their issues resolved. Shanks really did see Buggy as a brother
The guy with probably the strongest CoC at the moment states loud and clear he had no big ambitions but to be a carefree pirate and i still have to hear "CoC specialists" talk about "ambitions"

I have zero hype for the fights this arc, ngl. Seeing Luffy and Imu interact at this point just feels wrong. I don't mind seeing the Harold stuff as long as we see giants going to war.
Oda should have listened to the wise @Dragon777 and just did Loki vs Luffy.
Indeed, but I still think there Is that. Obv. now we have confirmation that Loki didn't kill Harald + Luffy's "proposal", but the rest of the hints ramins and the dude Is literally called Loki.
He won't just be Luffy's sidekick.

Egghead had potential for Oda to make up, but what ended up happening was the final antagonists getting massively dehyped, and the predictable giga plot armour of the SHs ensuring zero relevant casualities.
Are you under the impression Imu is the final villain?

Cause there was plenty of hype for Blackbeard defeating Law and his subordinates interacting with Saturn, who in turn revealed at least he is aware of BB’s on a level the audience is not.

Very disappointing that the way to beat regen is officially just CoC. Now it’s a case of pick your poison. Either it gets handed around to everyone come EoS, or the majority of the crew is absolutely useless against the weakest Holy Knight. Or Oda retcons it later and finds another way. Does just reaffirm to me that the regen was a writing mistake. Okay, the scene of Nasujuro blocking Zoro rather than just allowing himself to get hit takes sense, but then Luffy was just a flatout moron in Egghead by not even trying to use ACoC.

I also don’t know the point in having Zoro not know that he was using CoC. This would maybe be a scene that worked if Oda had left it a bit debatable whether he was using it or not, but he made it blatant in Wano. Would make more sense for Gaban to tell Sanji he had it instead.

Speaking of Sanji, oh look, he’s wildly insecure about Jinbei’s reputation being higher than his. Funny that, given the arguments people were giving me last chapter about how that wasn’t the case.

Rest of the chapter is a lot better. I never really took the idea of Loki as a crewmate seriously, primarily for the reason Zoro said- he’s way too big. But, if Luffy’s inviting him? Different story. I think my gut feeling is still that he doesn’t quite join, but interesting to watch.

I’m also quite looking forward to this flashback. I think Oda’s learned a lesson from Oden’s divisive flashback here. Harald’s clearly being setup as an important character throughout Elbaf, we know his (eventual) philosophy, but we haven’t had all the nonsense of him being the most absolutely beloved person of all time, silhouetted for years. Think it’s better this way, where he doesn’t have this colossal reputation to live up to.

Why does Gaban think that Shanks is special? The Roger Pirates knew the special ones hadn’t been born yet, as far as we know. That’s why Roger had a child to begin with. But that tattoo is very interesting, looks like Shanks did spend some time as a Holy Knight after all. I think it could also be okay for a sea king to take the arm and cause the immortality to be lost if it’s tied to the curse of the sea. Rather than just chop off the arm and they lose immortality for god, in which case, Gaban is a moron for just taking Sommers hand.

It doesn’t really make sense that Zoro didn't knew he had Conqueror’s Haki. Even Luffy’s reaction felt off. Like, do they barely talk to each other and only interact in the panels we see? Do they just not exist outside of that? And what about his training with Mihawk? Did Mihawk not say anything either? The excuse will be that Zoro never showed CoC during that time… kinda lame.

So Harald never ate the treasured DF. If this figure isn’t Loki there’s 2 options

1. a HK ate it
2. It’s the GGNM aka nika fruit, and shanks stole it to bring it back to elbaf
Or Mosa ate it
this character is still a wild card.

Loki is the Momo of the arc, he'll end up as the rightful king and will guide Elbaf in the final war, or BB kills him for his fruit lol
hajrudin is the future king of all giants

Zoroach illiteracy at work. The real L is your entire existence on this earth.

Hajrudin is getting a lot of focus. he probably ends up as the King ruling over Elbaf while Loki leaves to directly help Luffy in the final war (either as a key ally like Law or as a SH).
i wont take slander from someone using a rat pfp
