Well he's not stronger than Gear 4, if Gear 4 beat them, but that would imply he's >= G2/G3 pre-TS Luffy in terms of physical strength, which is crazy.

Luffy would obviously still win because of speed and combat experience, but that's an insane feat for a baby.

This has never happen in a OP arc , the flashback will always be done before we get to the ending section .
It now or stop the action when it get going so it's better to do it now and get it out the way and then into the ending section of the arc .

It is something differnt you are looking at this like a loki flashback but it's not the main aspect of it.
This is a harland flashback that will have Loki and Hajrudin in it .
Like i said the main aspect of the flashback is not even alive so this more like a Oden flashback than anything else.
Which will tell us about Harland and his life and will have characters that still alive in it and matter to the arc \story.
Also a parent trying to dump you into a orphanage and another one trying to kill you by throwing you hundreds of miles down at birth very differnt .
Even in the OP world much less our own that something very fucking differnt .

Sure, this Is about Harald, but regarding Loki it's the same shit.

In Loki's case, It seems Harald was on his side. In BM's, her parente dumped her there hoping that maybe Mother Carmel could do something (but maybe he could not).

Just look at arcs during the whole of OP and you notices this is where Oda does his flashbacks even in pre time skip .
