This is legit the first panel of Julius in chapter 1
Look at that ominous smile.
Then Tabata lays it out in plain sight.

You wonder why this ninja's grimoire is unique and so large
Why we've never heard of any other Novachrono or time magic wielder
Why Patri believes that Julius can't be human
How he decides he and Asta are connected by fate
And then Tabata hits us with the reveal of the top 3 demons and their magic
And the fact that there was another Zogratis sibling orchestrating everything
And then we see the fight with Lucifero and time being changed all the time, get it
And then boom. Lucius is revealed
And Tabata covers all the would be plot holes as well
Julius wasn't acting. He wasn't aware. Lucius orchestrated everything.
A masterful reveal.
The best thing tho, Julius is a supreme character, and Lucius is a perfect foil to him.
I could name and show a lot of crazy things Lucius did, like negging Lucifero, or William, bringing back Morgen to fight Nacht, bringing back Acier to fight her family, turning sistah Lily into a paladin, etc, but the latest chapter where he brings back Asta's mother and the woman that raised Liebe in the moment to completely freeze Asta and Liebe, with Liebe's expression being masterfully drawn, while he slices through them, is just chef's kiss.
