Character Discussion Why Shiryu killing Mihawk (SKM) is perfect writing

That was a mistranslation, beside Zoro himself after meeting Mihawk called him the strongest and that he was aiming to the strongest. There's nothing "strongest" about Shiryu
That's not the point.. Zoro's original dream was to become the WSS, but after Kuina died he reiterated himself and said the Strongest WSS that ever lived.. So Mihawk is not Zoro's end goal, he's a stepping stone..

Ace is at worst a YC2.
Lack of feats going head to head with BB the unbeatable?
Lack of feats being in wb as second fleet commander over jozu the mihawk glass ceiling?
So, Smoothie level sounds reasonable.

It was a way for Whitebeard to groom him to become a PK because he thought he was the one until he met Luffy and I consider Jozu above him. Shanks alluded the big gap between BB and Ace so let’s not go there…

– Shiryu was a shark in a small pond. Venturing outside of Impel Down allows him to grow by fighting the likes of Garp, haki bloom he would never have achieved in Impel Down.
So a Yonko level have to get tired from fighting a strong opponent first so Shiryu could go for the finish. If that’s what you call a fight :pepemy:

I'm not calling it fair. It's a pirates fight, dirty. BM and Kaido were also ganged upon. Enel as well.

Oda confirmed WB reached his prime at age 36.
Nope, 36 at God Valley but reached prime at 38. So after about 15-20 years of piracy, including serving under Rocks and surviving God Valley, it still took him a few more years.

Basically 40 is prime for most characters.
Almost every character in their prime is between 40-60.

Early prime
Shanks, BB, Mihawk 40-45
Late prime
Akainu, Dragon, Kaido (recently) 55-60

Those out of their prime like Big Mom, Garp, Rayleigh, Neptune, Gan Fall, Riku, Chinjao, Lao G, Sengoku and Gaban have been 68-78 so we can safely conclude ≈ 60 is the start of decline.

Those already strong but still to enter their prime are often around 28 like Law, Jack, Sun Pirates Jinbei, Yamato, Loki, Pirate Doflamingo and so.

Luffy, Sabo, Ace, Zoro and the others around 20 are absurdly young. They should be 15-20 years away from actually hitting their primes.

Prime is in 40 meaning at that point they are the strongest. They remain in prime till mid 60s most likely.

Are you really that stupid or are you being dim on purpose? Some people reach their prime in their 20s or 30s. Some reach it in their 50s. Some might even remain in their prime until 70. Most, 90%, never even reach their prime.

It all depends on alignment of training, exposure, mental development, physical development and so on.

:ClownStare:

Stop being a retard. Top tiers reach prime by age 40. Always has been the case. You creating non sensical head canon won't change canon. Most are humans in OP.

Only BB who can eat more than one DF is an exception due to his specific ability to have multiple DFs.

Okay, let's get one thing clear...

Oda did rather fuck up having Zoro train Mihawk. Mihawk is not covetous of his title and actually wants someone to come claim it, meaning he wants to lose to Zoro.

Injecting all this sportsmanship and good will into their dynamic has bombed any possibility for tension in their "fight" or should we say Gentleman's Duel
:specialmeh:

So, fans try and get creative and solve this dilemma via SKM (Shiryu Kills Mihawk)

Zoro fans for years have shot down this, perhaps poorly thought out but well-meaning theory...whilst not coming up with any better alternatives of their own
:christindeed:

Zoro fans in this thread, all Shiryu Kills Mihawk enjoyers are asking for is a solution to Oda's mess up.

This will take some creativity on your part because saying "No, Shiryu won't kill Mihawk" is not compelling at all, and won't stop people from theorizing this

That was a mistranslation, even the part about his name being so great, Stephen Paul translated it as Zoro saying that so that his name reaches Kuina up in heaven.

No.. Chapter 5 is called Kaizoku Ou(Pirate King) and Daikengou(Grandmaster Swordsman).. Daikengou is the title you get when you become the World Strongest Swordsman, Mihawk is the current World's Daikengou..

Zoro's initial dream is '' Sekai ichi tsuyoi Kengou '' The number 1 strongest Master Swordsman, which is Daikengou, Grandmaster Swordsman..

After Kuina dies it switches to '' Sekai ichi tsuyoi Daikengou '', The number 1 strongest Grandmaster Swordsman, implies all the Grandmaster Swordsmen across all ages and eras.. So the Strongest Grandmaster Swordsmen that ever lived.. Mihawk is a stepping stone, he's not the end goal..

I think its possible to Shyriu kill Mihawk, but this would only happen after Mihawk be defeated by Zoro

Mihawk vs Zoro is the most anticipated fight of the manga. Oda would never interrupt the fight
