Break Week Do you genuinely believe Oda wouldn’t

#24
Very likely tbh. Oda is dogshit at powerscaling and even if Mihawk SHOULD be stronger, Oda can just make Shanks stronger cause he doesn’t give a shit about powerscaling and loves wanking him. Wouldn’t put it past him. That’s why he only mentioned sword skills in 1058… even he can’t bring himself to say someone is directly stronger than his golden boy

Does anyone actually believe Oda wouldn’t pull something so that Shanks is stronger than mihawk?
So even you know Oda has to “pull something” in order to justify why a swordsman is somehow stronger than the strongest swordsman

It’s easy the only way this works is for Oda to have Shanks directly look at camera and say “I am not a swordsman”… Otherwise Oda will simply NEVER answer this

Mihawk fans have nothing to worry about as his World's Strongest Swordsman title is absolute.

His fans should definitely continue to celebrate Mihawk's amazing feats such as stalemating Vista, speed blitzing a block of ice, bullying don krieg in east blue, and no diffing Yonko Buggy.

And that's just pretimeskip, post timeskip Mihawk's feats are even more impressive: slicing Pica, permanently scarring Kaido, blocking 2 Yonko attacks, defeating Loki, making a admiral twerk with his haki, oneshotting Kidd, and even killing a admiral at the Reverie. I'm sure Mihawk will show many more amazing feats going forward.

Until Zoro beats him, mihawk and his fans have nothing to worry about. But remember, once Zoro eventually beats mihawk, then all his feats automatically become Zoro feats - because by then Zoro will be the new world's strongest swordsman and not mihawk.

Oda dresses like Shanks and has stated he wants to be just like Shanks

You are deluded if you have any pirate above the clear self insert
Lolda also said, if he was strong, he would be a subordinate of Xebec's son.

So Oda sees the best personality in an easygoing guy like Shanks, but when he thinks of strength, his mind immediately shifts to Xebec's son.

Mihawk is the nr2 of the world, does not matter who ends up as the strongest could be Blackbeard could be Imu could even be Shanks if Oda wants to make him final Villain (LMAOOOOOO) but Mihawk is 2 EoS.
in the end Zoro will be 2nd strongest, he is build up for it since forever. his clone Ryuma got Compared to Joy Boy in legend. its not by mistake either that both Luffy and Zoro have People that looked almost like them in the past.
so If you think Shank is stronger comes down to who you think Luffys last oponenet is, imo its Blackbeard

I think Mihawk>Shanks for reasons vastly different than the mihawk fandom in general.
It's not just some powerscaling shit omg mihawk strongest in the verse bla bla bla bla bla.
I think his fandom VASTLY overrates the entire black sword thing. It's a neat thing for Zoro's storyline as far as his path to become the WSS goes. No wonder the only two to have it are Oda's past character ryuma (that is zoro's ancestor), and mihawk, zoro's goal. Outside of this little zoro storyline, this whole "black blade" hold no narrative weight.

Having said that, Oda decided to make Shanks notorious for dueling with Mihawk, the WSS. You CAN'T ignore this just because.
What i dislike about Mihawk, is how Mihawk himself accomplishes very little on the small times he had a chance to shine in the story. Marineford wasn't good for him by any means. But is very natural that he's able to narratively leech from other characters' feats, especially shanks, ESPECIALLY when Oda recently had a chapter where Mihawk was ONCE AGAIN said to be a better swordsman than Shanks and currently has the highest bounty a non-captain character ever got. This MEANS something.

Shanks is not the "end all, be all". The past developments made this quite clear. So there's absolutely NO REASON to insist on this "shanks>mihawk" narrative aside from mere agenda purpose.

The following 2 are contradictory opinions imo:
Oda doesn´t care about powerscaling/he isn´t interested in powerscaling

and, Oda will make Shanks the strongest because he´s his favorite.
